Indeed, if you are planning your travels for spring break, summer vacation or a winter holiday, you want to know where all the safe locations are.

It is important that you do your research, because you could put yourself in a lot of danger. Even some cities that you think are safe may not be. Also, you want to know that traveling alone, particularly at night, can be quite risky.

Here are five safe destinations for college student travel.

If you want to travel to South America, you may want to book your travel to Ecuador, because Ecuador is one of the safest places to travel right now. Located on the West Coast of South America, Ecuador is a beautiful country that is free of many of the political complexities that cause violence and eruptions in other countries surrounding it.

One of the safest countries in the world is Canada. There are fewer people in Canada and the public services in this country ensure that the streets are clean and the forests are protected. Plus, the crime rate is practically nonexistent in many Canadian provinces. You could visit the mainly French speaking East, or you can travel to the West, around British Columbia for some beautiful scenery and excellent seafood.

Sri Lanka

This is one of the most beautiful countries in the world with some of the most beautiful people. Located just south of India and to the west of the Maldives, Sri Lanka is ripe with vegetation and quiet living. Also, you don’t have some of the same violence that comes along with living in India. When you visit Sri Lanka, you may want to get adventurous with the food, because there are a lot of delights to try.

South Africa

The African continent is beautiful, but it can also be relatively dangerous in some areas. You never know when political protests are going to erupt. In South Africa, however, you have relative peace. There are large cities and there are some really beautiful rural locations you can explore. If you stick to the same rules that you would follow in any foreign country, you can have a great time.

The United Kingdom

Out of all the countries in the world, the United Kingdom is one of the safest Western countries. The borders have a lot of strict rules, so you don’t need to worry about some of the crime that infiltrates other European countries. In the end, the United Kingdom is vast and large, so you can really explore.
